About

TMTV

Over the past sixteen months, I have been involved in the production of an ever-changing art installation that also served as my home and workshop. The Tom Museum, located in a house on the North Side of Pittsburgh, revealed my entire art making process to the public and allowed visitors to interact and interview me directly.

As I steer my work into a new phase, I have decided to turn the tables on the artist and viewer roles that I had maintained in The Tom Museum and to go out and interview people of Western Pennsylvania about their stories and connections to the art world. I plan to accomplish this through TMTV, (Tom Museum Television) a performance, installation, and video project located off-site of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts adjacent to the Regeant Square Theater.

While the TMTV low-tech recording studio will function as the home base of the project, with monthly happenings occurring both in the studio and on the sidewalk in front, I will be recording programs at locations throughout Western Pennsylvania and posting the shows online at the TMTV page of my website, www.tommuseum.com. TMTV shows will feature themes common to regular television including cooking, fishing, arts & crafts, and news.
